If you’re looking to leave the UK and head for the Netherlands, this is for you.

Just a quick flight or a slightly longer train trip away at Eindhoven is the ‘I am not a Tourist’ Expat Festival and Fair scheduled for June 10th and holding answers to all the questions you have about living and working in the Netherlands. Organised by Expatica, it’s the largest expat-aimed fair in the country and is now in its third year.

Its aim is to give expats and would-be job seekers the low-down on all aspects of life in the ‘low countries’. Held at Eindhoven’s city centre VDMA, the event will include 50 specialist exhibitors, workshops in a myriad of topics including jobs, advice on banking, entrepreneurship, education, housing, tax, immigration, employment in general, with this year’s theme simply jobs, jobs, jobs.

One to one advice on just about every aspect of life in the country is promised, with the event designed to be a one-stop-shop for expat professionals. On the exhibition floor you’ll find employment stands manned by major industrial specialists, recruiters will give advice on available employment and experts will advise on building a professional network.

Outside the building you’ll find the International Festival Eindhoven with its international food, market, live music, displays of hand-made products and children’s entertainments. Thousands of expat workers will attend, and free tickets can be had on the organisers’ website. If you’re already living and working in Eindhoven, the event is a great way to enlarge your contact circle, meet now friends and find out all you need to known about your prospects as an expat in the Netherlands.
