According to new reports, almost a quarter of London’s homeless population are from new European Union states. This is a trend that is just encouraged by rising unemployment. Most of these people sleeping on the streets come for a better life in the UK. However, once they arrive they are met with nothing more than false opportunities. In many cases these people become destitute.

The number of homeless British nationals in the capital has actually stabilized. This is some of the only good news that was offered in the report. The Combined Homeless and Information Network just recently released figures that showed that the homeless figures in London are at 4,000. This is up from 2,500 listed just three years ago.

Right now the biggest single factor for the contributing growth of the homeless people in the capital is the 1.5 million emigrants that came to the UK searching for work but ended up on the streets due to the economy. These people living on the streets are, of course, left to fend for themselves in most cases.

In fact, unless these emigrants, from former eastern bloc countries that joined the European Union in 2004 and 2007, work full time for a year, they have no right to public funds. They are limited to access to services only. The outcome of this is often isolation and, of course, homelessness.

So this brings up a good question, why do people continue to come to the UK from these new European Union countries if there is no work to be had? If they know that they will be living on the streets anyway, why make the trip? One survey shows that these emigrants said that they would rather be destitute in the UK than back in their country. Apparently they feel safer living on the streets in London than in their own country.

Recent reports show that a BNP member posted comments on the internet that went on to describe some emigrants as savage animals and filth. These comments were posted while the member was working as a technology teacher.

The General Teaching Council went on to hear that Adam Walker used a school laptop to access an online forum, in which he claimed parts of Britain were nothing more than a dumping ground for Third World countries. Mr Walker, who resigned from Houghton Kepier Sports College in Houghton le Spring, located near Sunderland, in 2007, is the first teacher to appear before the General Teaching Council accused of racial intolerance.

When opening the case against Mr Walker, who was actually a former solider as well, The General Teaching Council presented officer Bradley Albuery. Mr Albuergy alleged that postings made by the teacher demonstrated views suggestive of both racial and religious intolerance. Mr Albuergy went on to say that Mr Walker used the pseudonym Corporal Fox to make the postings to a forum on Teessideonline, which addressed the popularity of the BNP, during February and March of 2007.

In one of these posts, Mr Walker went on to claim that the BNP had risen in popularity, because they are the only party who are making a stand and are prepared to protect the rights of citizens against the savage animals. In another posting, which took place on the same day, Mr Walker said that recent media coverage of illegal animals and how they are allowed to stay in the UK despite committing heinous crimes makes him disgusted.

A new study has come forward and claimed that the UK will actually get more than 1 million more emigrants by 2015. According to the study, Britain’s emigrant population will jump from 62.2 million up to 64.3 million between now and 2015. This is what is claimed due to the Labor government’s new open door policy on emigration.

The study goes on to count all kinds of emigration. It takes into account both people who move to Britain from overseas, as well as babies that are born from emigrants while in the UK. The study, which was done by think tank Migration Watch, raises even more fears that the rising population will place a strain on public services with billions of pounds of extra funding likely to be needed to support everyone.

The findings themselves are based on projections by the Office for National Statistics. They came up with the numbers using current trends in emigration, as well as birth rates.

So how do people in the UK feel about this? Well everyone has their different view point, but right now emigration is on the top of most peoples’ lists. A lot of this has to do with jobs and a down economy. Although things are starting to look up, many Brits are unemployed and losing jobs to emigrant workers. Some even say that the emigrant workers are driving down the pay rate.

No matter how people feel about emigration, it is a current situation that a lot of people are having a hard time dealing with. It will be interesting to see how different political parties choose to address these new stats.

Despite all of the recent talks about emigrants coming to the UK, new reports have come out trying to set the record straight. Apparently there has been no let up in the number of people that are trying to make it to Britain’s shores for a better life.

Although some people are trying to say differently, official statistics reveal more than 518,000 people moved to the country just last year. This is an average of more than 1,400 every single day. The annual number of people granted British citizenship also rose by almost 60 percent between 2008 and 2009, according to the same figures.

Prominent British politician Nigel Farage quoted the figures as he attacked the three main parties for their dishonest attitudes toward emigration. He went on to say that it is not racist to talk about emigration from a nonracial and nonsectarian perspective. However, he continued, these figures quoted refer to non-European Union emigrants and the main parties are all signed up. The UK has a total open door policy to an unlimited number of people coming into the country from eastern Europe.

In light of the information from Niegal Farage, it appears that the problem of emigration does not just stem from countries far away. Apparently a big problem comes from emigrants right at the UK’s back door. Many emigrants from eastern Europe get into the UK everyday. This is causing emigration numbers to rise very quickly. However, these are some figures that some politicians tend to overlook when talking about emigration numbers.

It now seems that Britain will need more economic emigrants to restore its international competitiveness. The secretary general, Angel Gurria, said that labor emigrants would be needed because of Britain’s aging population and the number of people who are unemployed or who say they are too ill to be working.

He also talked about the Western government’s failure in the regulatory system in the run up to the financial crisis. He said that the UK’s regions could lead the country to economic recovery and a low carbon future. The planet cannot stand this kind of production and consumption patterns any longer.

Britain will have to look at increasing the retirement age and helping young people get back into work. Women will also need to be pushed to have children. Experts said that it’s funny that many Brits simply complain about the emigrants coming over, yet it seems like they do not want to do anything to save themselves. They want the best of both worlds, but that is not how it works.

Of course, colleges in the UK are starting to feel the pressure of lower emigration. Due to new rules regarding overseas students, colleges are nervous about a lack of funding. They go on to state that these overseas students bring a lot of money into the UK, but the UK Border Agency seems almost hell bent on keeping them out. Universities in the UK need these students and the money that they bring from overseas.

Unfortunately for many colleges in the UK, it’s easier for these overseas students to simply study somewhere else in the world, like the United States, than it is to try and get into the UK to study. Some kind of change has to come to the UK in order for it to save itself.

Reports are now suggesting that diplomats in several London embassies are using emigrant domestic workers as modern day slaves. They are being accused of depriving these workers of food and subjecting them to abuse.

The emigrant workers claim that they were lured to the UK with promises of a good life. However, now they are beaten and forced to sleep in the hallway. Some reports even say that the females are sexually abused.

One of these workers recalled how she had fled from her employer, a South African diplomat, after being maltreated for months. She said that she was not being fed properly, and she was not given a day off or paid for six months.

A charity for migrant workers, Kalayaan, has referred at least nine cases involving diplomats to a government scheme to combat trafficking in the past 12 months. The charity said that there is significant evidence that emigrant workers are being trafficked into the UK by diplomats and are being abused and exploited.

UK Home Secretary Alan Johnson will be presented with evidence of trafficking involving diplomats. He will face calls by all the party groups on stopping the trafficking of women and children to safeguard such workers.

Overall, the UK is working around the clock to try and stop human trafficking. However, the UK is also dealing with other emigration problems. A lot of these emigration problems are stemming from new changes that have been made to the emigration system. These new changes have caused tons of problems and confusion. A lot of this confusion and frustration is being felt by overseas students who wish to study in the UK.

According to reports, Britain is now planning to educate emigrants on the art of “queuing properly.” Apparently these reports go on to suggest that teaching them to queue will help them integrate into society better.

Any foreigners that are applying to settle in the UK will now have to learn about the revered British practice of forming a queue for everything from sandwiches to buses. This new subject, which is properly being called the art of queuing may also be included in the tests on aspects of British ways of life. This is a test that is required for foreign nationals who are applying for citizenship.

Phil Woolas, the emigration minister, said that much tension in communities has been caused by foreigners not understanding that they have to wait in line for services. A lot of foreigners simply head right up to the front desk to ask for help, as this is custom in their culture. However, in other countries, like the United States and the UK, people form lines to keep public order.

Woolas went on to say that huge resentment is caused when people push in. The simple act of taking turns is what holds many countries together. It is very important that newcomers take their place in queues, whether it is for a cup or tea or a bus. The minister added that he was pushing this idea as part of moves to ensure emigrants integrate properly with the rest of the public. He said that it is central to the British sense to play fair.

New emigrants coming to Spain now take the proportion of non-Spanish residents to just over 12 percent. The number of emigrants registered as living in Spain has already increased more than sixfold over the last 10 years, according to figures released by the National Statistics Institute.

Some 5.6 million non-Spaniards were registered as living in the country last year. This accounts for 12 percent of the population. This is a huge increase of more than 400,000 on 2008. Emigration helped the population reach 46.7 million in 2009. This is up from 40.5 million that was seen in 2000 during a time when the country had only 924,000 emigrants officially registered.

At the start of the 1990’s, the population was made up almost entirely of Spaniards. Emigrants accounted for less than 1 percent of the population. However, over the past decade, the country has seen a huge influx from emigrants from all over the globe. Of course, it does seem that most of the emigrants come from European countries or north Africa and South America.

The professor of sociology at the Complutense University of Madrid, Jpaquin Arango, said that emigrants had occupied half of the jobs created in Spain between 2000 and 2008. He went on to say that emigrants have arrived in the millions – largely due to the availability of new jobs in Spain compared to other places in the world. There were some 5 million jobs created in Spain between 2000 and 2008. Many of these 5 million jobs ended up being in a favorable sector for emigrants, like construction, health care or hospitality.
