Apparently Britain has just recently started to really step up its fight against illegal emigrants. This news comes as two Jamaicans were grabbed by the UK Border Agency. Right now this agency is on a nationwide prowl for any illegal emigrants that are in the country. They are sending off anyone and everyone that is not suppose to be within their borders.

The UK emigration minister, Damian Green, said that illegal emigrants are a burden to this country. He said that the UK government is now committed to getting rid of them and doing it as quickly as possible. He continued that the government has tasked the UK Border Agency with carrying out an intense period of enforcement over the summer. The government is very determined to make sure that it gets illegal emigrants out of the UK and keeps new ones from coming in.

The UK Border Agency was able to catch two Jamaican men who had visited Hylands Park, England. Both of the men were more than welcome to visit, but the only problem was that they chose to overstay their visas. The two men were found working illegally at food stalls on the site.

To this, Green said that illegal emigrants put pressure on public services, local communities and legitimate businesses. All of this is coming at a time when the country as a whole just cannot afford to be putting up with this. That is why the UK Border Agency is working to cut out illegal employment. It is looking to cut out sham marriages and bogus colleges as well. Overall, it is working to clear out all of the people from the country that have no right to be there.

New reports are now showing that UK emigrants cannot travel to Israel in order to avoid paying UK taxes. The Israel Tax Authority just recently said this week that it has issued a circular making it clear that new emigrants form the UK cannot volunteer to pay reduced income tax in Israel in order to avoid paying income taxes in Britain.

This circular relates to the instructions that entitle new emigrants to 10 years of exemption on tax payments for income derived from abroad. Thus, newcomers could be earning money from work abroad, but their obligation to pay income taxes in Israel are exempt for 10 years from the date on which they become an Israeli resident.

Now in accordance with the tax agreement between Israel and the UK, new emigrants will only be exempt from income tax in the UK if they are paying income tax in Israel. Thus, if they are exempt from paying income tax in Israel on work performed abroad, then that does not mean that they are still exempt from paying income tax abroad.

The Tax Authority went on to note that new emigrants from the UK have recently sent requests to their international tax department volunteering to pay 10 percent income tax on their income, which is exempt from income tax in Israel. This is being done in order to receive proof to show to the UK tax authorities that they have paid income tax in Israel. Thus, they are therefore receiving an exemption from UK income taxes.

Now the Tax Authority is saying that the voluntary payment of lower tax in Israel is improperly taking advantage of the tax agreement. It can be thought of as a lack of good will.

It now appears that more than 100 people at Yarl’s Wood went on hunger strike. Officials at the UK Border Agency went on to confirm that they are motoring the situation at the removal center in Bedfordshire. They started to monitor the situation after detainees refused their evening meals.

The deputy chief executive of the UK Border Agency, Jonathan Sedgwick, said that they can confirm that 108 detainees have refused prepared meals from staff. He went on to say that they still have access to food from the on-site shop and vending machines. Staff will continue to monitor the situation closely and listen to the detainees’ concerns. All detainees have access to legal representation and 24-hour medical care.

The Yarl’s Wood site holds people awaiting deportation but has been strongly criticized over reports that children have been denied medical treatment. They also noted that they were subjected to violence and forced to undress in front of officers of the opposite sex.

Right now Yarl’s Wood has 284 beds for women and 121 family bed spaces, according to the UK Border Agency. The center is on the outskirts of Clapham and was originally opened in November of 2001. In February of 2002, half of the building was damaged by fire. The undamaged half of the building reopened in September of 2003.

Just last month the Home Office was forced to clarify comments by Deputy Prime Minster Nick Clegg. Officials said that only the family units at Yarl’s Wood would, in fact, shut. The center would continue to function as an emigration removal facility for adults.

Apparently a British man that was wanted in connection with a child sex inquiry has been deported back to the UK. This happened after the man was finally found at Hawke’s Bay. This is a site that is popular with many children.

Apparently, Matthew Paul Hamilton, age 29, had been living illegally in New Zealand ever since 2008. He had first got into New Zealand on a one month visitor permit. However, after it lapsed he was able to evade emigration for nearly two years. He did this by supposedly moving around New Zealand. The last reported sighting of him was in Hastings.

A national alert was sent out last month for the man. Police then started to actively look for Mr Hamilton. He was finally arrested at a leisure activity in Hawke’s Bay on July 1 after a detective followed a hunch that he might be there. Hamilton offered no kind of resistance and was arrested immediately. Police are refusing to name the leisure activity or say whether it was in Napier or Hastings where he was finally caught. Hamilton has since been identified as a person of interest in an international child exploitation investigation.

Apparently back in 2005, when living in Cambodia, he was charged with sex offenses against children and possessing child abuse images. He went on to deny these charges and was found not guilty. Apparently he had committed no offenses while he was in New Zealand.

Mr Hamilton has already been deported back to the UK. However, as of right now it is not yet known if he is facing any kind of charges in his home country or not.

It now seems that two men have been taken to a hospital after jumping out of a window during a raid by emigration officials. The UK Border Agency staff said that police searched a home in Balham High Road, south London, just shortly after 6am on Tuesday.

As the raid took place, two men jumped out of a window onto the roof of a three story building. This left the men with some minor injuries. Firefighters were called in to get the men off of the roof. A very busy road had to be shut down for more than an hour during the event.

Because of the raid, three Pakistani nationals were arrested. Two of them where picked up on suspicion of overstaying their visas and one on suspicion of illegally entering the UK. A UK Border Agency spokeswoman said that, during the operation, two individuals attempted to escape and suffered some minor injuries. Emergency services arrived at the scene shortly after, and both men were taken to the hospital.

A London Fire Brigade spokeswoman said that two fire engines and a fire rescue unit also attended the event. They had to pull two people off the roof of a building that they jumped to in order to try and escape the UK Border Agency. She went on to say that the two men were rescued from the roof of a three story building. This was done using firefighter ladders.

The men were taken down and treated by the London Ambulance Service. A spokeswoman for the London Ambulance Service said that the two men had been taken to St George’s Hospital in Tooting.

According to reports, Britain’s fast rising population is now close to 62 million. This news came by way of an official count that was released this week. The number of people in the country went up by 394,000 to reach 61,792,00 by the middle of last year, according to the Office for National Statistics.

This increase of 0.6 percent means that the population has been rising steadily since the turn of the Millennium. A lot of this is due to emigration. The population is now going up at twice the rate of the 1990’s and three times the speed of increases during the 1980’s.

The latest leap in statistics has also been pushed by growing birthrates, according to the Office for National Statistics. It said that 45 percent of last year’s population rise was brought about by emigration and 55 percent by natural increase, or a greater number of births than deaths.

The rising birthrate itself is thought to be a product of emigration. One in four births last year were to mothers who were themselves born outside the UK. The country’s population rose by 176,000 as a result of emigration.

The Office for National Statistics believes that continuing high levels of emigration means that the population will hit 70 million in 2029. Ministers repeated this week their promise to slash the number of emigrants coming into the country.

Emigration Minister Damian Green said that they believe that emigration has been far too high in recent years. The new government will reduce net emigration back down to the levels of the 1990’s, or to tens of thousands rather than hundreds of thousands.

Apparently some residents in Wrexham have been given the chance to try their hand at a citizenship text. This is the same citizenship test that is given to foreigners if they want to make the UK their home.

Apparently the test was being made available for people at the Wrexham Library as part of Refugee week. Aled Roberts, the Council leader, and senior figures took the test as well. Even Isobel Garner took the test. The good news is that Mr Roberts did end up passing the test. However, there were other officials that just narrowly failed the test. The council would not confirm which officials did not pass, though.

This test, which was introduced in 2005, is a requirement for settlement, or indefinite leave, to remain in the UK, or to have the right for full British citizenship. Candidates have a total of 45 minutes to answer 24 questions. The candidates need to answer at least 75 percent of the questions right.

The test that residents in Wrexham took part in was a multiple choice question test. It included such questions as, In which year did women get the right to vote? Another question was, Since 1951, the population of the UK has grown by?

Aled Roberts said that the refugees really do have to do a lot of studying about the way of life in the UK in order to live in the UK. They have to know everything from statistics, to laws and even culture to stand a chance on the test. This is, of course, on top of having to learn a new language.

The deportation of activists, which does include more than 40 Brits, that were detained during the storming of an aid flotilla heading for the Gaza Strip is now underway. All of the 679 detainees that were taken off the ships during the Israeli military-led action, which saw nine civilians killed, will be deported within 48 hours. However, 50 of these people will be held for questioning, according to the Israeli government.

The Foreign Secretary, William Hague, said that 31 British nationals and a further 11 with dual nationality were known to have been detained after the seizure of the vessels as they attempted to breach the Israeli blockade of the territory. One of the Brits, who was on one of the ships heading towards Gaza, arrived back in the UK on Tuesday.

The Brit who made it back on Tuesday night described the raid. He said that the attack happened out of the blue. All he could hear was screaming and bullets all over the place. As he looked around, all he could see were hundreds of Zodiacs. Hundreds of Zodiacs full of soldiers, and big ships. He even believed that there were submarines in the sea.

The Israeli authorities went on to confirm that 50 of the 679 activists taken off the flotilla had been taken to Israel’s international airport for deportation. The rest were being held at the Be’er Sheva detention center in southern Israel for having refused to identify themselves.

Of course, there is anger and concern among their friends and relatives in the UK. They say that they are unable to establish any kind of contact with the detainees or find out what’s happening.
