Emigrant Mugs Man at Knife Point to Get Free Ticket Home
The emigrant, Kasiba Misigaro age 21, has repeatedly begged the emigration service to cart him back to Burundi central Africa, because he feels that he could find a better life there than in the UK. Over the past five years, Misigaro has been convicted of 21 offenses, but still the emigration staff refuses to put him on a flight home and get him out of the UK.
In a last attempt, Misigaro targeted a 40-year-old man last December after spotting him in West Ham tube station, East London. The prosecutor, James Lofthouse said that the victim looked down and saw a knife. He was scared of what the man may do, so he gave him two mobile phones and his wallet.
However, Misigaro, not really wanting to cause any trouble, dropped all of the stolen items, and the weapon right on the floor so that the police could arrest him at the scene. He told the police that he did it because he did not want to be in the UK anymore, he wants to go home.
Lofthouse said that he was on benefits, hates being in the UK, and has no interest in working. The man has no money and will commit further offenses if he is allowed to stay in the UK. He also pointed out that the man has approached emigration services about wanting to go home, but they have no interest in helping him.
The court ruled that Misigaro will now be deported. However, he first has to stay in the UK for three more years, but he will be spending those three years in jail to server his sentence for robbery.
