Best of British awards update Win free flights to the UK
Every nomination or entry in the competition is eligible for the main prize, which will be ringside seats at the awards ceremony, return flights and hotel accommodation.
The competition has been running for around two weeks now and the latest results show that Tanzania is leading the race for favourite expat destination. The Neema Crafts Centre in Iringa employs disabled staff and in addition to its famed paper made from elephant dung the food made by expat operators has been voted the best on the planet to date.
The competition calls on Brits abroad everywhere to nominate something truly, brilliantly British outside the UK. One notable recent nomination was New Yorks International Talk with a Fake British Accent Day. To nominate your favourite taste of home simply go online and vote. All you need to do is explain why your nomination best represents Britain.
There are several categories including, among others, Best British Restaurant for those who live in South Africa or Best British Bar for Aussie expats. If any category not named then sheer weight of numbers may see a new category created.
Voting can be made up until the 15th of January next year when newspaper judges will decide on the respective winners.
