Gordon Brown Offers New Emigrant Limits
Gordon Brown Offers New Emigrant Limits
Gordon Brown finally chose to intervene with the critical issue on emigration, which has been sweeping through the UK. By way of a speech, he will promise that emigrant workers will only be used to fill jobs temporarily in parts of the economy where there are labor shortages. It is said that Gordon Brown will make it a requirement that the government sanctioned training schemes are created to ensure that unskilled British workers can ultimately take the jobs in the sector where there are genuine skills shortages. This includes such things as catering, supply teaching, and even medical and engineering jobs.
The speech is suppose to deliver Gordon Brown's promise for British jobs for British workers. This intervention follows a private polling that was conducted during the summer by the Unite trade union, showing that emigration is the single biggest issue leading natural Labor voters.
This issue is likely to become more of a big deal as unemployment continues to grow. Due to the recession, it has been hard for British workers to find jobs and keep jobs. Likewise many companies have been trying to hire both legal and illegal emigrants so that they can pay their workers less in order to save money. However, due to this, British workers are losing jobs. It will be interesting to see the reaction of the public in the coming days after Gordon Brown's speech.
