UKBA denies entry to Benny Hinn
UKBA denies entry to Benny Hinn
The star of TV’s ‘This is Your Day’ and regular performer of stadium filling ‘Miracle Crusades’ was refused on grounds that he failed to comply with the latest immigration regulations which came into effect last November.
The UK Border Agency turned back the healer after he failed to produce a church issued valid sponsorship certificate. Hinn then apparently flew to Luton Airport via his private jet where he was again denied. British law stipulates that religious workers must abide by a Tier 5 concession which requires a valid sponsorship certificate. The regulation is aimed at preventing extremism or those who preach religious hatred.
Hinn was able to appear at the event via a live video address as Bishop John Francis led the service. According to Hinn’s aides there were still some reports of miracle healings.
Hinn later stated on his website that he had not complied with the laws of men but would shortly return to the UK to do what he felt was right. He asked for forgiveness for not having known of the regulations which he claims were misinterpreted by his UK legal team.
Hinn was due to speak at a Fire Conference and Miracle Service at London’s ExCel.
