Illegal Emigrant Jailed Over Cannabis Farm
It has just recently been made known that a illegal emigrant was jailed for running a huge cannabis farm that is said to be worth more than £100,000. Apparently the illegal emigrant was running the cannabis farm from a luxury home located in Clackmannanshire.
The illegal emigrant, Minhua Chen, had is farm uncovered by police after they were tipped off by one of his neighbors. After raiding the house police found that the home’s six bedrooms had all been fitted with irrigation and lighting systems for over 240 cannabis plants. The 43-year-old emigrant, who is now known to be originally from China, has now been jailed for four years at Stirling Sheriff Court.
The court went on to hear about how the illegal emigrant was attempting to let the cannabis mature. It was also noted that, had the plant been allowed to mature, it would have yielded more than 22kg of highly psychotropic cannabis. The prosecutor said that Chen had been watering the plants once a day and switched the lights on for 12 hours every day. She did note that the emigrant did say that he did not receive any payments for doing this, only food and board.
The prosecutor then went on to say that it would appear that the accused was the gardener of the plants. Although the equipment that was recovered was used to take care of the cannabis and worth a large amount of money, it did not belong to the illegal emigrant. The owner of the equipment has not yet been identified.
