UK Border Agency Receives Emigrants from Illegal Brothel Raid
The pair that were arrested had no fixed addresses and were also questioned in relation to other emigration offenses. Later on, the police did release the Chinese woman and told her to report right away to the UK Border Agency in Croydon. The man had been referred to the agency for further investigation.
Ellen Miller, a spokeswoman for the UK Border Agency, said that the police raided the brothel on May 18. Two illegal emigrants were arrested because of the raid. Steps are now being taken to remove these illegal emigrants out of the UK as quickly as possible.
She went on to say that people in the UK who break emigration rules will not be tolerated in any way. Any foreign nationals that the UK Border Agency says have no right to be in the UK will be removed. Police will be acting on tips that are given to them by locals about illegal emigration acts. This includes raiding companies that are employing illegal emigrants.
Just earlier this year, four other illegal emigrants were arrested by officers during a raid on a Chinese takeaway in the town of Old Station Road. The men that were found in the raid had overstayed their visas and did get deported back to Malaysia.
