Carrentals.co.uk Keeps Strengthening with 50% Growth in Q1

When it comes to car hire comparison, few sites are as big as Carrentals.co.uk. This is something that has been proven in the report that was just released by Carrentals.co.uk. The site is ahead of its budgeted revenue target by 50%, despite the credit crunch. The site is also up 30% for year on year revenue for the first quarter of 2009.

Carrentals.co.uk has already been able to generate more than £16m in car rental sales and is still continuing to grow in its share of the market. The great success of the site has come in the short course of only six years. When Carrentals.co.uk was first launched it was known as a car hire broker site. However, in 2007 the site was re-launched as a car hire comparison site. Since then the site has been able to grab up some awards, including "Best Car Hire Website" Travolution Award in 2008 and the "Best Ski Car Rental" in the 2008 and 2009 Good Ski Guide Oscars.

The site offers customers the chance to be able to compare prices from 35 different rental providers as well as in over 9,000 different locations. Carrentals.co.uk is also regularly listed in the top ten most visited car hire websites in the Hitwise report.

Gareth Robinson, who is the managing director of Carrentals.co.uk, said, "Demand for the first quarter has consistently been ahead of target. This success underlines the quality of the service we offer, with our CPA-based comparison model offering a fairer system to suppliers and wider choice and more competitive prices to customers."

Gareth also said: "Many travel companies are finding trading conditions tough at the moment. Those who are performing well and who will survive are the ones who are focused on offering customers the best choice and prices. We make it easy for visitors to compare rental prices from both leading providers and specialist companies. We keep it simple and user friendly, and we will continue to develop the site to ensure the best possible customer experience.
