Illegal Emigrant Jumps Aboard Eurostar
Illegal Emigrant Jumps Aboard Eurostar
An illegal emigrant, in a very desperate attempt to find a way into Britain, jumped aboard the roof of a moving Eurostar train. It is said that the man jumped aboard the Eurostar train when it slowed down to make its entrance to a Channel Tunnel.
Experts say that the illegal emigrant held onto the top of the train for about 45 minutes as it traveled the 31 mile tunnel. After exiting the tunnel, the Eurostar train then picked back up its seed to reach 186 miles per hour.
The Indian descent man, believed to be in his early 20's, was finally discovered at the Ebbsfleet International Station near Darfford. He was seen as he tried to make his way off of the top of the train while trying to hide between two carriages. Eurostar employees have no idea how long or when the man had jumped on the train.
After being found, the illegal emigrant was arrested by some officers from the British Transport Police and then handed over to the UK Border Agency. It was there that the UK Border Agency found out that the man must have chosen to leap onto the train at Calais when the train slowed down to 100 miles per hour to enter the tunnel.
The travelers that were on the train to London were delayed while officers led the man away and searched the train for other emigrants. When the dogs where unable to find any other emigrants, the man was said to have been traveling alone. The man is going to be interviewed by the UK Border Agency officials later this week.
