New Emigration Abuse Fines

The UK emigration system has been under a major overhaul. During this time, tighter emigration controls are being enforced as well. To help get the point across, some emigration abuse fines have gone up in price. A parent that hires an illegal nanny could be fined up to £2,000 under this new emigration plan.

This new bill, which is being called The Emigration, Asylum, and Nationality Bill, was unveiled on Wednesday. Along with increased fines, this bill also includes rules allowing emigration officers to be able to check for biometric information. At the end of 2008, the UK government wanted all visa applicants to have fingerprints taken. This would help the UK to start doing biometric identity checks, much like other nations already do.

Under this new bill, emigration, customs, and the police officers that are patrolling the UK boarder will share passenger information with less problems. This is all part of the electronic border controls that the UK is setting up to help control the flow of illegal emigrants into its borders.

Of course, the new bill was made out with bigger companies in mind. Last year over 3,000 employees at different locations around the UK were working without permission. Under this new bill, the companies will be find £2,000 for each worker that is working illegally. Although this bill was made with companies in mind, the same fines will be used on households that break emigration laws as well. Over time, the UK government hopes this will help with the job shortage that is sweeping across the UK.
