New measures are being put into place that will allow Indians the ability to obtain visas upon entrance into Bahrain.  The new provision is set to go into effect at the end of the year and will be introduced during a two phase roll out plan.  During the first phase only business professionals will be able to take advantage of the new “walk-in” visa. The second phase will be utilized by tourists.

Shaikh Rashid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa who is the Interior Mister Under - Secretary for Nationality, Passports, and Residence, noted that “It has been agreed in principle to add the two countries to the list of countries approved by Bahrain for visas on arrival.  However, certain procedures have to be completed before it is implemented.”

I am not in a position to say exactly when it will be implemented,” added Shaikh Rashid.
