Illegal immigrants flock back home

Central Bank of Mexico has also confirmed the fact. According to the bank, remittances sent by Mexican working overseas have seen a considerable slump after years of sharp rise. In Dallas, Mexican consulate received applications from as many as 500 families, seeking documents required for admitting their children to Mexican schools. This number is nearly double the applications received last year.
Slow economy is one of the major causes for such exodus. A large number of Mexican migrants work in the construction sector, which is currently witnessing sluggishness. Days of Mexican workers returning home with loads of cash and coming back to USA for more work, now seems to be story of yore. Now, illegal immigrants hauled up by authorities are being sent home flat broke.
However, there are families, which are not happy with going back home. They are concerned about their children who have more opportunities in USA. Most of these children were born in USA. Mexican consulate is counseling such families.
Mexican authorities are now preparing themselves for the onerous task of receiving and finding work for the returning immigrants. They are considering setting up reception facilities at the four border points. A group of authorities is also demanding the preferential hiring for repatriating workers. This demand has come after several authorities visiting Dallas, where they were accosted by angry Mexicans.
