Islamic nations to make visas business friendly

In order to help increase trade the nations that are a part of the group of eight developing Islamic countries which is also known as the D-8 has decided to try and make travel easier for those who frequently complete business travel. The goal of this change will be to reduce the amount of paper work and red tape required which has slowed business travel in the past.

The new change to the policy held between the eight nations would be to provide the ability for each member to document their business travelers and submit them directly to a contact on one of the other member nations. Once received it would be the responsibility of the member nations to make sure that the visa process is completed as quickly as possible. Each member nation would have a D-8 representative that would be responsible for working with the other nations, receiving the list of business travelers and providing them to the immigration departments to cut threw the process.

Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim who is the foreign affairs minister commented on the new change "D-8 nations have agreed on a regimented arrangement on issuing visas to the businessman to ensure hassle free travel to member states."  He continued to comment that the new change to the policy has been distributed to all nations to review and hopes to have it approved shortly. The Islamic nations that make up the organization D-8 include Bangladesh, Egypt, Iran, Malaysia, Nigeria, Indonesia, Pakistan and Turkey.
