Katy Perry Wants to be a British Citizen
In order to make their life easier, since she has to jet back and forth between American and the UK so much, she said that she is going to think about becoming a dual citizen. Thus, this just further enforces the fact that many people are trying to become a British citizen.
Katy Perry said that she loves London and just loves being there right now. She went on to say that when the day does comes, she will become a dual citizen. This way she will be able to quickly pass through customs.
Of course, it makes since what the singer is planning. Waiting around in customs, specially if that person is going to travel back and forth a lot, can actually waste many hours over the course of a lifetime. By becoming a dual citizen, she could get these hours back.
The singer expects to cut through the red tape really easily. However, this may not be as easy as it sounds. Katy Perry thinks that just because she is well known in the UK, she should have no trouble trying to become a citizen of the UK. However, right now the UK is in the middle of really cracking down on giving out citizenship and such forth.
Katy went on to say that the UK has already kind of adopted her. Thus, maybe she does not have to go through all of the paperwork to be a citizen.
