Immigration has been a common event and one of success between the nations of the United States and that of Vietnam. In fact in between the years of 1986 and 2007 there have been over 500,000 travelers who have picked up their roots and immigrated to one or the other country to take up residency this information was reported by the Vietnamese newspaper Youth.

Many different groups have been founded to help keep the relationship and immigration between the two nations working with minimal issues. Humanitarian Operation was created to help provide those in need the ability to find a safe home by emigrating. Amerasian Children was founded to aid in the immigration process for those children that were born from parents including soldiers from the United States during the Vietnam war.
