It now seems that the UK is not the only country that is deporting people. In fact, reports have just recently come in that the Thai government will be deporting a British man who was involved in the bloody anti-government protest. Apparently the man was freed just this last week by a Thai court after he plead guilty to all charges. He was deported within the next few days.

The court convicted the man, Jeff Savage, age 48, of violating an emergency decree imposed during the two-month long protest and is still in effect in Bangkok and 18 other provinces. Savage actually broke down and started to cry after he heard the verdict.

Savage went on to say that it's a miracle, and he was surprised. He said that regardless off what people say, there is justice in Thailand. He said that he wants justice for all – the dead, the Red Shirts, and even the Yellow Shirts.

The street war that went on between the so-called Red Shirt protestors and government forces left about 90 people dead and 1,400 injured. All of this came to an end in May after government forces finally suppressed the Red Shirt protestors.

Savage, who is actually a native of Kent, was caught on camera the day rioters set fire to one of Bangkok's largest shopping malls. He was caught on the camera saying loot and burn everything to the ground. The video is widely circulated on the Internet.

Savage had first been sentenced to three months in prison. However, judge Yutthana Sawaisuwanwong said in his final verdict that, because Savage was not a Thai national and did not have any political stakes in the protests, the sentence would be halved. Savage had already served his jail time, he was released immediately.
