India looks into providing money for emigrants

In order to help more emigrants succeed abroad the country of India is debating whether or not to create a new piece of legislation that would provide money to aide those who have chosen to go abroad.  The legislation that is being proposed involves allowing and creating a new welfare assistance to emigrants regardless of their location or status. This welfare system would provide various levels of financial assistance to the millions of Indians who are living on foreign soil.

The financial assistance that is being proposed will come in the form of providing money for emigrates to meet their day to day needs, cover costs involved with the process of emigrating as well as money while living in foreign soil. The legislation would also provide funds for those who return to India to readjust to life back at home.

The proposed changes are expected to be approved during the 2008 time period commented the Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs in a press release.  In other attempts to improve the emigration process for their citizens, India has implemented various strategies to provide assistance during the procedure. Some of the other ways they are helping their citizens make the move abroad easier include a phone line that is dedicated for emigrates, they are creating a plan to help improve skills for Indians planning to move and they are also creating a new training course for emigrates to take before leaving to help them understand more about the process and where they are going.
