Experts Say the UK Will Get 1 Million More Emigrants By 2015
The study goes on to count all kinds of emigration. It takes into account both people who move to Britain from overseas, as well as babies that are born from emigrants while in the UK. The study, which was done by think tank Migration Watch, raises even more fears that the rising population will place a strain on public services with billions of pounds of extra funding likely to be needed to support everyone.
The findings themselves are based on projections by the Office for National Statistics. They came up with the numbers using current trends in emigration, as well as birth rates.
So how do people in the UK feel about this? Well everyone has their different view point, but right now emigration is on the top of most peoples' lists. A lot of this has to do with jobs and a down economy. Although things are starting to look up, many Brits are unemployed and losing jobs to emigrant workers. Some even say that the emigrant workers are driving down the pay rate.
No matter how people feel about emigration, it is a current situation that a lot of people are having a hard time dealing with. It will be interesting to see how different political parties choose to address these new stats.
