Emigration Proving to be a Big Issue in British Election Campaign
Emigration Proving to be a Big Issue in British Election Campaign
To prove that things have reached a boiling point about emigration, experts point to a recent case where a teenager actually killed an asylum seeker. There were other teens that were accused of taking part in it as well. Although the name of the kid cannot be released due to legal reasons, it’s safe to say that there are some people who feel that emigration has reached a tipping point.
Some parties are campaigning for an emigration cap, meaning that a certain amount of asylum seekers and emigrants would be allowed to come to the UK every year. Although this cap sounds good on paper, some experts say that the UK would have a reason to worry if a law like this was passed.
Experts go on to say that an emigration cap would cause the economy in the UK to suffer. A lot of the work that Brits do not want to do is taken up by emigrants. In order for the UK to stay competitive on a national level it has to have the help of emigrants just like other countries do.
Although some parties were speaking very little of emigration at the start of things, it is now a big issue that everyone has to touch on. Either way, most Brits seem to agree that the emigration system is broken, and it needs to be fixed.
