UK Government's Top Concern is Preventing Illegal Emigration
This joint international plan of action by the Home Office and Foreign and Commonwealth Officers, now underlines the need to take the fight against human traffickers. In order to stop these foreign criminals, the UK Border Agency has to be able to work overseas. With the ability to fight these foreign criminals before they ever enter the UK, the amount of illegal emigration should fall sharply.
Phil Woolas, the Border and Emigration minister, said that about three quarters of the world's population now needs a visa to come to Britain. UK Border Agency officers are working in 135 different countries to stop organized criminals in their tracks before they ever make it to the UK. Law enforcement agencies must work hand-in-hand in regards to emigration.
Pretty much, the thought is that emigration may not be as big of a problem in the UK if the UK Border Agency is able to stop a lot of the illegal emigration. As of right now, the UK is really cracking down on emigrants and offering up a whole bunch of new rules to limit the number of people that come to the UK. However, these new rules do nothing to stop illegal emigrants.
